authorizing THE INSTALLATION OF FENCING AT 260 sOUTH PEARL STREET IN the city of ALBANY AND AMENDING THE 2024 ALBANY COUNTY BUDGET

WHEREAS, In 2022 this Honorable Body unanimously authorized the installation of fencing at the 260 South Pearl Street in the City of Albany, and
WHEREAS, Since then the bids for the fencing have expired and a new Request for Bids has been issued, and
WHEREAS, The Department of General Services, working with the Office of the County Executive, solicited bids for the construction of a fence around the property, and among the eight bids received Spitale Construction Resources Inc., was the recommended as the lowest responsive and responsible bidder at a cost of $57,261, and
WHEREAS, The 2022 authorization set aside $50,347 for the construction, which included 10% for any contingencies that came up, this leaves a deficit of $12,640, including the 10% contingency money, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the County Executive is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement with Spitale Construction Resources Inc., for the construction of a fence at 260 South Pearl Street in the City of Albany, for an amount not to exceed $62, 987 for a term commencing upon execution of the contract and ending December 31, 2024, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the 2024 Albany County Budget is amended as follows:
Decrease Line Item A1010.4 by $12,640 by decreasing Line Item A1010 4 4015 Legislative Task Force by $12,640
Increase Appropriation Account A1450.4 by $12,640 by increasing Line Item A1450 4 4046 Fees For Services by $12,640
and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreement as to form and content, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
